Proverb tells, doesn’t delay opportunity, because once opportunity comes will not be repeatable returned. As the saying is that is experience befalling me Saturday evening yesterday ( May 03, 2008).

One weeks before all, friends plans going fishing trip to area Indihiang, or near by area Cihaurbeuti at Sunday. Saturday evening before, I plan buys fishing rod bait in booth near by house, but because the evening downwards torrential rains, so that plan buys fishing rod bait nearing night, after rain alleviates.

When at that time came, sudden I get sms (short message) from neighbor, that at 18.30 there are invitation of other neighbor thanksgiving. I think by then can still buy fishing rod bait after at 19.00, as of return from the thanksgiving.

But, my estimate slip. When me and the neighbors came to man house which will perform [a] the thanksgiving, over there the event has not been started. New event started at 20.30 and having at 21.30. Thereby time had rather lateness, so that equipment shop of fishing rod have been closing.

Around at 22.00, I am with the neighbors go to Ciawi, around 45 minutes journey. At 24.00 has just returned to town Tasikmalaya. When returning to house, wife and child of I am medium look-on film Harry Potter, and I also follows look-on so at 01.30. Then sleeped.

The morrow I oversleep around at 07.00. So plan buys fishing rod bait when at dawn, returns to cancellation. Though event of going fish’s starting at 07.00. So my liver weighing cancel event to go fish’s, because miscalculation of time. When the news submitted to friends, heard disappointed them. Yes, like that, often opportunity came for once.***

Basic Carp Fishing Pointers Frustrating as it is, carp fishing is awesome. Carp are really good at sucking in and blowing out suspicious baits. It’s such an excitement to see the whole action in a fraction of a second as you hang on for dear life while the reel is trembling with a loud noise.
Carp happily devour on the surface as long as you keep the pellets, biscuits, chic peas, bread, and re-hydrated corn coming in, and these are inexpensive baits as well. Just attach them to the hooks, most preferably the bread. Have the biscuits softened by dipping it in the water for about 2 minutes, then, place them in a sealed sandwich bag for about an hour.

Like most fishermen my age I originally learned about spinnerbait fishing for largemouth bass with my Dad. My class room was the back of an aluminum rental boat drifting the brush flats and rocky points of Irvine Lake in Orange County and Lake Cachuma in Santa Barbara, CA. Both lakes were renowned southern California bass fisheries in the 1960’s and 70’s. Later I refined my techniques from the business end of a Nitro bass boat fishing team tournaments in the waters of the mid west for Smallmouth bass and Muskie.

The makers of Bumble Bee Tuna generated some buzz today by announcing they will be producing a fish oil supplement with their Tuna’s name on the bottle. None of the reports mention if they are using an particular standization and quality processes or what methods they are using to ensure that environmental toxins are not being concentrated into their supplement. Of course, we can’t fault the reports from the nation sources for not bringing up this issue. They lack understanding of the subject and are busy trying to find "doctors" to give them quotes about a fish oil supplement being more or less effective than a name brand drug in fighting heart disease.

With the monsoon season on the east coast in full swing, I was itching for some fishing. So when the opportunity arose to fish at a kelong, off the west coast, I jumped at the chance.

Kelong fishing has never been my cuppa tea ever since my experience fishing off a rickety platform, off the northeast coast of Johor, back in the mid-1990s.

Back then, we were allowed one bucket of water a day for bathing. If we needed extra, we had to pay RM2 per bucket. And we had to be careful walking around the kelong because of loose and rotten boards.

A family fishing platform: Many people bring their families to fish here.
So, for this trip to the Kelong Paradise Waterfront Resort, my expectations were not that high. A couple of days of sea air and some good fish talk were all I expected.

IN a weekend of mixed fortunes, icy flood-water created havoc on the rivers making for low catches.

But on the other hand local lakes have fished brilliantly considering the cold snap.

The Frank Flynn Memorial Match fished on the lower Tees around Yarm attracted just 22 anglers because of the horrible conditions, but there were still fish to be caught.

Ian Lumb of Newman Scott made the most of his draw at peg 187 on the golf course section, after opting for feeder with worm.

Selecting the correct tapered leader and tippet for the type of fishing you are about to do is crucial. Nothing can spook fish quicker than an oversized tippet for the particular situation. On the other hand, and undersized tippet can result in the fly fisher losing their trophy before they even get a photo opportunity. We will start at the very basic of leader and tippet selection and then get more specific, and hopefully conclude with enough information so well always have the proper leader and tippet for all upcoming fishing scenarios.

What is leader and tippet
